i'm going to York College in september to do a diploma in foundation studies Art and Design (woo hoo!!)

We got a summer project to do before the course even started (gasp) and i had to make a scale model of a bank-here is a picture of it.

It took me hours and hours to create but i am super happy!! (its all made out of cardboard and fimo)

It's the double whammy!! (of birds!!)

I love birds!! I'd like to be a bird i think (as long as i didnt fly into any windows or get sucked up into an aeroplane propellor!!) Anywho, in recognition of this love i decided to jazz up a plain yellow top and red bag with some pretty birdies!!
The top says "There's a bluebird on my shoulder" bytheway (my photography skills are not the greatest!!) Both are painted by me using my own fair hands!!

Again, let me know if you like!!

Awwww... Its Bambi!!

You've seen the stitch top, now see the bambi top!! Cute as a button!!

I love this top and have worn it quite a few times (always with people saying WOW YOU PAINTED THAT??!!)

Again, really simple to do, just drew and painted the picture directly onto a top using fabric paints.

More tops to come!!

Experiment 626- The Stitch T-shirt

I LOVE STITCH- its a fact!!

This is why i decided to decorate a boring old white top with this lovely picture of him playing in some sand. Isn't he just the cutest??!!

Again, this was super simple, just drew him on with a pencil and then painted him using fabric paints. I'm pretty chuffed with him!!

Anywho, there you go, look out for more of my t-shirt designs!! Again, please let me know if you like any of my stuff!!

Guitars may be boring, but this picture isn't!!

Howdy!!

Thought i would display a canvas picture i made for my dad last christmas, he's rather wacky, hence the wacky, swirly colours. He also loves guitars and banjos and stuff, so i made him this picture to hang in his office. Again, it was really easy, just drew some swirlyness onto the canvas, painted it, cut out some note signs, stuck some pictures on and then stuck the notes onto the canvas.
I wouldnt call this my best piece of work, but he liked it, which is all that matters!!
Anywho, ciao for now!! OOh, and dont forget to let me know if you like any of my stuff!!

P.S. I'm gonna put some pictures of my AS alice in wonderland themed coursework on here soon (need to get it back from stupid school first!!) Get excited people, it got 80 marks out of 80 (my proudest achievement to date!!)

An attempt to release the hidden artist

In an attempt to release the artist within me, i created these fabric pictures, which i think are pretty cool :-) I did these about a year or so ago, when i was about 17.
As my room is pink i made them mostly in pink (i know girly-girl)
Anywho, they were REALLY easy to do!! I first bought two canvasses, the type with a wooden frame on the edges of the back. Then i cut out some circles of fabric and had fun laying them on the canvasses (Please note, do try not to knock them off at this point, it is mighty annoying when you try to remember where each piece of fabric goes!!) After that i simply sewed round the edges of each fabric circle, by hand, including sequins, beads and such whenever the mood took me!!
I really like them, but as per usual, if anyone does find this blog and likes any of my stuff (or knows what else i could make, or how to improve on my existing creations) PLEASE let me know as i would love to know what people think :-)
Thankyou
Love Lucy xxx :-)

Here's some cushions i decorated

I absoloutely love creating presents for my friends for their birthdays and christmasses and stuff. I think its much more personal and shows how much you care (awwww :-)) Anywho these are just three of the many cushions i have decorated using the FABULOUS sublime stitching patterns. The designs shown are Darling daschunds and Monkey Madness and i love them.
Seriously, click on to....

for some amazing stitching patterns that are also not at all expensive. Then do like me and make your friends some presents!! They'll LOVE them!! They don't take long either, all you do is iron on the transfer and stitch along the lines in whatever colour you so desire (hardly rocket science, now is it??)
Anywho i've got tons more pictures to put on this blog, in a quest to showcase my craftyness!!

Wow i made that!! Project one-oriental wall hanging

Lets start from the beginning.....
I am 18 now (wow) and i created this oriental-inspired wall hanging when i was 16 for my GCSE textiles project. I was really proud of it then and still am now. The dragon is hand-painted using fabric paints, the birds are hand embroidered, the peacock is appliqued felt (with real feathers, may i add!!) and the centre is all applique with computerised sewing machine flowers.
This was the first proper thing i made and took me forever, but it got me a good grade and it
now hangs in the spare room in our house, so i'm pretty pleased.
IF anyone does manage to find this blog and likes this, let me know coz that would be real nice :-)

Thanks,
Lucy xxx:-)

P.s. those are my hands you see holding it up, good aren't they???!!!!!

Good afternoon!! (i am in england-its 4:30 here!!)

Hello!!
I have decided to create a blog as it seems like the new, hip and happening thing to do!! :-) As i am rather ridiculously obsessed with craft and making stuff (especially textiles) i have decided to create this so i can remember what i have made and show it off to any good people who just happen to fall onto this blog.
I'll put some pictures and stuff on soon.
Love Lucy xxx:-)

P.s. on a completely random tangent i have a driving lesson in just over an hour, ewwwwwwwww!!
